Happy new year! I hope yours is off to a good start, and that 2022 looks up for everyone.
I wanted to bring you up to date on my writing plans. I just turned in a short story for a Baen terraforming anthology, Under a Crimson Sun. It’s a shared universe anthology about the first human mission to Ross 248. I’m quite excited about it, and have my fingers crossed that my story gets accepted.
I’m in the final third of drafting His Terrible Stall, the fifth novel in the Martha’s Sons series. Silas Zeelander finds he needs Peter’s help, so that prickly pair is getting to work together again.
I plan to publish Relief Afar as a stand alone novelette on Amazon in the spring, since Peter’s arrival in Kentucky takes place before the next book. Then I will have to write a new short story to lure readers to my newsletter. I’m noodling on one that takes place right at the end of Stall, but if you have any suggestions, I’m open to requests. Just drop me a line in through the Contact tab. In the meantime, for those interested in getting Relief Afar for free, it’s available when you sign up for my newsletter.
Eventually, I’ll put the Nwwwlf short stories in a collection that I can print in paper. A paperback of something only four chapters long is a little too skimpy.
Naturally, once I send His Terrible Stall to my alpha reader, I’ll start working on the next book.
Those are my definite plans. Here’s hoping I didn’t jinx anything by saying that.
I hope you have a good start to your year!
